Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challengers partner with RELiON Battery as they launch campaign to ‘Challenge Your Limits’

Force Genesis, a team of four rowers taking on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, will be rowing unsupported for 3000 miles across the Atlantic in December 2020. On such a row, the team needs reliable and efficient power support which has been provided by this new partnership with RELiON Battery.

RELiON Battery is a global leader in lithium battery products for high power applications such as marine vessels, electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. The company is supporting the team with lithium batteries to power their internal systems as they row across the ocean. The batteries will ensure their navigation systems stay live and the partnership is a perfect union as RELiON launches their campaign to ‘Challenge Your Limits’ and create ‘limitless’ adventures. “We are thrilled to support Force Genesis as they embark on this challenge. The team are aiming to be the fastest and first mixed quad to row any ocean and have been training hard to smash the world record and take on the huge challenge. They are rowing to not only fulfil lifelong dreams but also to support two charities who provide vital support and services to workers on the frontline.

The team will be aiming to raise upwards of £100,000 for Duty to Care, a charity that provides mental health support to the NHS and Blood Bikes, a charity who volunteer their services to the NHS urgently transporting blood, platelets, medical samples, medication, baby milk, heart monitors and anything critical that can be sent by bike both to hospitals and air ambulances throughout the UK.

Force Genesis will be exposed to the raw elements of the Atlantic Ocean and will only be able to carry limited supplies. The team will take three RELiON lithium batteries to ensure they have long-lasting, reliable power across the Atlantic.
